Project Details:
The traffic interchange at Interstate 17 (Black Canyon Freeway) and Dove Valley Road/Sonoran Boulevard was constructed at the same time as the widening of I-17 from Jomax Road to State Route 74 (Carefree Highway). The interchange is completed, but will not open to traffic until local roadway connections are made in the future.
* This project was advanced by the city of Phoenix to an earlier phase than originally scheduled in the Regional Transportation Plan.

Traffic Management During Construction:
ADOT intends to keep two lanes open in each direction during weekday peak periods, wherever possible.
