3 freeway projects

The unprecedented growth in the Southwest Valley has brought the transportation issue to the forefront, particularly as it relates to three major freeway projects - the South Mountain Freeway connection to Interstate 10, the decision on the alignment for the I-10 Reliever and the widening of I-10 from Loop 101 to Loop 303.

Each of these projects will greatly affect Avondale's development for years to come.

Other major issues facing Avondale and the Southwest Valley revolve around educational systems and an educated workforce. It is vital that the schools and the community work together to improve AIMS test scores and to bring all our students up to state standards.
