Reconstruction of the intersection at Loop 303 and Cactus Road to make traffic and safety improvements and minimize the impacts of future Loop 303 freeway construction will require closing Cactus Road between Cotton Lane and Sarival Avenue beginning Sunday evening until approximately mid-February.

While Cactus Road is closed, drivers may use Waddell Road or Peoria Avenue as an alternate for east/west travel and to access Loop 303, and are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the construction area.

Additionally, Waddell Road between Loop 303 and Sarival Avenue is expected to reopen next week, following the completion of city repair work.

Please see below for alternate routes.

While ADOT and its construction contractors strive to inform the public about planned restrictions, during any complex construction project, there is always a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. During Loop 303 construction, plan ahead for unexpected restrictions - and remember to slow down in the work zone.

Drivers should anticipate delays and allow extra time, or adjust travel to avoid closures and restrictions. ADOT appreciates your patience as we construct improvements on Loop 303.
